Our prehistoric fours are back. Manny, the sarcastic but rousing mammal, finds a mate and is now learning the science of being clever. Sid, the inept sloth, is trying to establish his long-standing respect from others. Diego, once a shadowy traveling companion now a loyal carnivore of the “herd”, must face a fear he always kept secret. And the scat squirrel is still causing a sudden landscape change. But these four are facing a big problem when a flood is about to change its history.

Manny, Sid, and Diego discover that the ice age is ending, and enlist everyone to travel to the higher ground. On the journey, they discover that Manny is not, in fact, the last of the woolly mammoths.
